Greetings, a poem

[Kai Johnson]

One night I awoke, and it was said to me:

“Be you not afraid, for you are not weak of heart or of will,

Should you struggle under your labor, allow me to lighten your journey,

Through me your way shall be one of ease and of love,

Choose to see and I shall show you the most beautiful flower unfold,

choose nothing and the shine of my light will be slow to help you,

 

Whether you open to me hesitantly or with full vigor I shall love you,

Might you stumble I will right you,

If you fall I will catch you,

For there is no love greater than that of a parent for its child,

No bond deeper than an offspring to its creator,

I shall never cease to be by your side,
Always will I wipe away your tears,
If it would serve you I would wipe away your hurt too,

but some pain is a sign,

If you decry your fate,

You should know it is a gift,

Learn to see the blessing in all things,

Let gratitude and joy for existence flow like a river,

Worry not about the boulders before you,

My essence is in you, it will carry you onward,

I never thirst, I am always quenched,

I never want for rest, I am always refreshed,

I never hunger, I am always fed

I am not opulent, I am blessed,

 

You may realize bodily existence is a game,

Each player has a turn,

Some choose to act in accordance with Me,

Some try to cheat,

Some are happy and carefree,

Some dance to their own beat,

They may remember to have fun,

They might forget to keep things simple,

They may let the wheel of complexity turn,

Whether they’ve lost or whether they’ve won,

All people live and breathe together, all are one under the sun”
