Thank you for extending friendship here and for your patience in my response. With limited internet (& electricity) I just saw your friend request today. Looking forward to getting to know you more!

Kate Marsh said… Hi Erica,
Lovely to meet you, I wish we had a better chance to talk. Hopefully our paths will cross again. In the meantime, we can talk right here.
I would very much like to create a eco-village, or join people who share the same dream to accomplish a dream. I have been close to this dream when I lived in France, but the circumstance eventually diminished the vision and became somewhat unsustainable. The wonderful memories I have held onto are that we had an amazingly beautiful space surrounded by nature and full of fun, it was magic.
At the moment I am working on my inner space of love so that the next time I get to project my dreams the outcomes will be wonderful and sustainable. A kins domain is the ultimate dream, but for now I am extremely happy with were I am in the world and happy to be at this point in my journey. I am buzzing, full of energy and enjoying the little things.
I am very intrigued by your work in 'unschooling' and I will be reading this week into exactly what this entails. If you have any suggestion on the best sites to learn from that would be great.
It was very nice to meet you and your little one. I was very ammused by his launch of the rock into the ocean with such determination.
Lots of Love
Kate :)

Miranda said… Hi Erica,
Thank you for coming down to the beach on saturday, although I organised the event, I was also extreamly nervous and out of my comfort zone about going to have lunch with a group of people I had never met before. It turned out to be such a wonderful day, and was very euphoric seeing the whales, and doing the circle with the lightening flashing in the background.
When I was reading your posts about the raw food for some reason I actually thought you were in another country, so it was a lovely suprise to see you down at the beach. I've never done exclusively raw food before, but there is a lovely cafe on the Gold Coast where I have experienced it, and also a lovely couple at the organic markets who sell their beautiful raw food cakes, raw pizzas, and raw pie ( the one I made ), and I went to a cooking class of theirs where I saw it done. Saturday was my first attempt at it. The recipe is:
RAW PIE BASE
1 cup of either cashews, brazil nuts or macadamias
1 cup of almonds
1/2 beetroot
CASHEW CREAM CHEEZE
3 cups of cashews ( soaked overnight )
1/2 cup of lemon juice
Juice of 1 lime
4 shallots
Pinch of salt
Optional extras: fresh basil, coriander, pepper, chilli
VEGETABLE TOP
1 cup of finely chopped mushrooms or eggplant
5 sundried tomato halves finely sliced
10 chopped olives
1 tbs virgin olive oil
juice form 1/2 lime or lemon
1 pinch of salt, coriander, and cumin
METHOD
Layer 1: Pie base ingredients blended together and press into a spring-form pie container.
Layer 2: Spread about one cup of cashew cream cheeze ( all the ingredients above blended together )
Layer 3: Chop up veg and marinate in the lime, herbs and olive oil for a couple of hours or overnight. You can really use any vegies that take your fancy for this.
I marinated my vegies and soaked my cashews overnight, then I made the pie base, and the cream cheeze the next morning and put it altogether. It was really easy :-)
I was really interested in your raw food adventure and I would definately like to head in that direction myself. I'm no good at doing things in one big hit, so instead of doing raw food last week, I did vegetarian instead, and plan to transition between the two slowly.
How I came across the Anastasia books was actually at an animal action day held at a raw food / and vegan cafe on the Gold Coast about 2 years ago, and I met a guy there who told me all about them. So I hired the first book out from the library and loved it. The Gold Coast library only had the first book at that stage, so my mum and I chipped in together and bought the whole series. It took me about a year to read the whole lot, and the more I read, the more I loved the ideas in them and they really resonated with me, and have completely changed my priorities in life. I'm so grateful to them. How did you come across the ringing cedars books, I would love to hear your story too!

Randall T. Ball said… Erica. I owned a 100% raw juice and smoothie bar for years. One recommendation came to mind. Actually two. We dealt with only TWO supplement suppliers and I continue to do so today. Here they are. My recommendations: www.healthforce.com
and http://www.e3live.com/ . Best wishes on your transition. These two will help, particularly "VitaMineral Green" and "E3Live". Please buy these direct, nor from me right now. Feel free to call on me as well, for free support. I have other "mommy" resources as well. My website is www.PFcincy.com . Randall Ball
