Was it a community made of straw bale houses with interwinding pathways with gardens in between? If the same, I have been there, a very magical place. Looks like a fairy community with houses with round walls and outhouses and showers that look like giant mushrooms that sprang organically from the soil. The gardens are spectacular. I love the whole valley Winlaw is in, the Slocan Valley. I have extended family in the slocan. Its the first place I met Doukkabhours. If you are in the area this summer, stop and have coffee or tea. Again nice to meet you.
